Essential Event Communication for the Notting Hill Carnival

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is the Central London Local Authority responsible for facilitating the Notting Hill Carnival each year in August. During the two days, we have over 90 officers out in the field dealing with food hygiene inspections, street enforcement issues, and noise, nuisance and licensing issues. It’s essential that we have a reliable and immediate way of contacting our officers during the Carnival.

Our Autopage Solution

We use Autopage for Windows and Autopage Sender to send out text messages to officers.

Carnival is a noisy environment. When dealing with issues, sending details via text enables the officers to have all the details to hand. We also send out hourly health and safety messages that all staff need to respond to. It works well for staff out in the field, feeding back any issues to the operational centre via text.
